1. Season Concerts:

Provence

A concert with a whiff of France featuring the songs of Enrico Macias and a touch of Raï, which drives French youth crazy. A performance of an extraordinary, specially commissioned Israeli creation by composer Daniel Koren.

Participants: Shimon Sibony, Eyal Sela (wind instruments), Maya Belsitzman (cello), and Emmanuel Hannoun (actor) in a piece by Daniel Koren—Couscous Concerto and Cello.

Marrakesh

An authentic Moroccan concert a la Andalusian with Arabic and Hebrew mixed into early chaabi music, the classic Moroccan folk style, which is the orchestra’s specialty.

Participants: Emil Zrihan, Abdeslam Safiani (Morocco), and Daoud al Harat.

Gibraltar

The strait that connects Europe to Africa and Spain to Morocco serves as a bridge between cultures and a conduit for music styles. A powerful combination of Flamenco bursting with passion and irresistible Maghreb rhythms.

Participants: Yehuda Shawki, Benjamin Bouzaglo, Simo Levy, Hagai Bilitzky (contrabass), Yaakov Rubin (mandolin and mandola).

Easterly

Participants: Emil Zrihan, Haim Zrihan, and the Alaev family.

2. Off-Season Notable Concerts:

Collaborative concert tour with Israeli singer, Yasmin Levy

Human Rights Day in Rabin Square

Participants: Aya Korem, Kobi Oz, and Abate Berihun.

Joint concert with Knesiyat Hasechel

A collaboration to mark the band’s successful 20-year career with the orchestra.
